Zombified

Breakfast for dinner
Dinner for Breakfast
24 hour sunlight
the days come and go,
with little delineation or importance

My time ques are all confused

I'm floating in between levels of consciousness
empty halls
sagging eyelids
Computer screens
TV screens
Lucid dreams melding with reality
But the Mountains are still goddamn Beautiful
When theres no sleep, or no food, or no order,
The mountains sustain me

Pro Deals

USAP participants get pro deals from a number of outdoor recreational companies. Pro deals are normally in the range of 50% off. If there is anything you've had your on eye on, but can't afford, let me know and I'll pick it up for you.
So, I know that I will get pro deals from the following companies. This list will definitely expand, and if there is a company you want me to look into, I can do that. Lets take advantage of this!

The Nightwalker

On Monday I become a nightwalker.

My shift is 6pm - 6am for the first half of the season, through mid-December.

Even still, I am only going to see a few more of these:

Things are looking up . . .

But who's looking down?

And so it is
An Antarctic Reunion

The familiar feeling of being in a strange and extreme place.

I arrived to McMurdo, as scheduled, on Friday, October 12th. The plane ride was awesome: clear views of the Tranantarctic Mountains the entire time!

The sky was clear and the temperature was a balmy 0 degrees with a windchill in the negative 20's. Temperate for this time of year.

The reunions were glorious. My liver and hair paid for it. I'm less man now, more hawk.

Saturday I received training on all the cargo vehicles: flat bed trucks, deltas, loaders small and large. So far my best day as a DA is worse than my only day as an Air transportation specialist.

My job involves sitting in heavy machinery and moving pallets. The kicker is that I get to do it in front of the Transantarctic mountains and Mount Erebus. How sweet it is.

My awe for this place has not receded. Its just an awesome place.

Things are looking up: my lovers are here and my job is outside.

How sweet it is!

Break my Heart!

Here we go again!

With a mixture of excitement and joy and heartbreak, I begin another journey.
5 flights and four days later, I am back in Christchurch.
And it feels good here: strangers are good to you.
Ahh, I leave for the ice in two days.
it'll be good to be back.
