Stellar Axis Art Project

The NSF offers grants to artists to come down create art in antarctica. The NSF provides room, board, and transport, and the artist supply the rest. Lita Albuquerque came down to as part of the stellar axis art project. She placed blue balls on the ice shelf to mimic the southern night sky at the summer solstice.
